Yellow Brick Games, an independent studio founded by former AAA industry veterans, has officially revealed their debut title, a fantasy action-adventure game titled Eternal Strands.
In an IGN First exclusive coverage, Yellow Brick Games released the official reveal trailer for Eternal Strands, as well as sharing additional information about the game.
Eternal Strands is a third-person fantasy action-adventure game built in Unreal Engine 5, and developed by a team of 68 developers at Yellow Brick Games. According to executive producer Jeff Skalski, the project started development four years ago and is now finally ready for the world to see.
In the game, you play as a Weaver named Brynn, one of the few remaining magic users left after the use of magic caused a cataclysmic event that destroyed much of her world. Alongside the members of your fellow magic-using Weaverband, you’ll embark on an adventure that pits you against all manner of monsters.
Yellow Brick Games, the independent studio that was established in 2020, was founded by many AAA industry veterans, including Mike Laidlaw, the former creative director of BioWare’s Dragon Age series.
The company is also led by former Ubisoft developers such as Thomas Giroux, Jeff Skalski, and Frédéric St-Laurent B, all of whom have worked on titles such as Watch Dogs and Assassin’s Creed Syndicate.
Initially, Eternal Strands was set to be published by Take-Two’s publishing label Private Division, but Yellow Brick Games decided to take the self-publishing route on March 27th, 2024.
Eternal Strands is set to launch on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5 in 2025, and the game is now available for wishlist.
