It Takes Two Selling Over 16 Million Units Worldwide in 3 Years

Hazelight Studios has announced that their co-op adventure game, It Takes Two, has sold over 16 million copies worldwide.

In celebration of the 3rd anniversary of It Takes Two, Hazelight Studios revealed a special artwork on their official X/Twitter page.

In the post, they mentioned that it was not only the third anniversary of the game but also revealing the game has sold over 16 million units.

As implied by the game’s title, It Takes Two requires two players to play the game together, implying that over 30 million fans have played the game since its launch.

On February 2023, Hazelight Studios also announced that they surpassed 10 million units sold, meaning that the game has accumulated another 6 million sales within a year.

It Takes Two is a cooperative action-adventure game that was developed by Hazelight Studios, the same developers behind A Way Out.

Published under EA Games, It Takes Two was released for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via Steam in March 2021, with a Nintendo Switch release in November 2022.

Upon its release, the game was received with critical acclaim, receiving multiple awards and accolades. Most notably, It Takes Two was awarded the Game of the Year title for both The Game Awards and the 25th Annual D.I.C.E. Awards in 2021 and 2022 respectively.
