Infinix has announced a 2-year software update commitment for their newly released phone series, the Infinix NOTE 40 Pro Series.
According to Infinix, the NOTE 40 Pro Series will receive two major Android version upgrades and 36 months of security updates globally.
The software upgrade commitment aims to act as a game-changer for the mid-range market, where budget-friendly phones often lag behind in terms of software updates.
With the announcement, Infinix promises to deliver regular and timely updates for the NOTE 40 Pro Series, ensuring that users can enjoy the latest features and security patches without compromise.
As the NOTE 40 Pro Series is released, it will come with the Android 14 operating system, with plans to upgrade to Android 16, extending the longevity of the devices by ensuring the operating systems stay updated for an extended period.
It is worth noting; however, that despite the commitment, the availability of Android system upgrades may still vary across devices and regions due to the diverse regulatory constraints set by the different countries.
The Infinix NOTE 40 Series had just gone through a successful global release, and has now officially debuted in the Malaysian market, the Infinix NOTE 40 and NOTE 40 Pro 5G respectively. TheInfinix NOTE 40 is priced at RM 898, while the Infinix NOTE 40 Pro 5G is sold at RM1,098.
It’s also worth noting that the above-mentioned software update is only for the NOTE 40 Pro series, which only includes the Infinix NOTE 40 Pro 5G.
