Capcom announced that the total sales for Resident Evil 4 Remake have topped seven million units worldwide approximately a year after its launch on March 24, 2023.
The announcement was made in a new report, unveiling the impressive sales figure of Resident Evil 4 Remake.
Previously, the game was last reported to have sold 6.48 million units as of approximately 2 months ago, on December 31, 2023.
In the report, Capcom also noted that the cumulative sales of the games in the Resident Evil series have now exceeded 154 million units since the first title debuted in 1996.
Resident Evil 4 Remake originally launched on the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam on 24 March 2023 to resounding praise, lauded by fans and newcomers for its fresh new take that rekindled the appeal of the original.
The game was later also released for Apple devices with Apple M1 chip and later, which includes the iPhone 15 Pro, Mac, and iPad, on December 20, 2023.
Furthermore, the game has received steady support with the terrific Separate Ways DLC, Mercenaries mode update, and more.
The title garnered worldwide critical acclaim and was nominated and have won many awards, including Award for Excellence at last year’s Japan Game Awards.
