Nacon has announced the title for their upcoming open-world survival game based on the Terminator series, titled ‘Terminator: Survivors”.
The announcement was made during Nacon Connect 2024, where Nacon announced the official title and early access for the game.
According to the announcement, Terminator: Survivors is an open-world survival game with base management elements and a storyline that expands on the original story.
Set in 2009, a few years after Judgement Day, the game is based on the first two movies of the Terminator saga. Where players are facing the threat of Skynet before the founding of John Connor’s resistance.
“The game starts with you, a survivor, facing the dangers of the post-apocalyptic world and trying to cope with the threats posed by other human beings, machines, and the Terminator,” said CEO and Creative Director of Nacon Studio Milan, Marco Ponte. “At first, you’re unaware about the existence of Skynet and the Terminator, but it’s something you’ll quickly discover.”
Marco also mentioned that the story takes place in a yet unexplored timeline of the Terminator universe, with an original storyline that includes both famous characters and new ones.
Terminator: Survivors will be playable solo, with co-op multiplayer also being available for the game as well.
Early access for Terminator: Survivors is set to release on Steam on October 24th, 2024, with the game being released on various consoles at a later date, namely PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
