Revealed during the recent Nintendo Direct: Partner Showcase, Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance is set to release for the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam and Microsoft Store on June 21, 2024.
The overview of the game via Atlus noted that Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance will include “an all-new storyline featuring new locations, demons, and choices to make”.
Alongside the release date, the physical pre-orders for the game will begin on 27 February 2024 for all platforms.
Digital pre-orders for all platforms will also begin on the same date with the exception of Nintendo Switch, which will announce its digital pre-orders at a later date.
The enhanced edition of Shin Megami Tensei V was originally discovered to have been given an age rating on South Korea’s Game Rating and Administration Committee website 2 days ago but was quickly removed, as reported by Gematsu.
As mentioned, Shin Megami Tensei V was originally released in 2021 and garnered generally positive reviews, with the game selling over one million copies in April 2022.
In our review of the base game, we gave the score of 9/10 and said: “Shin Megami Tensei V is still one of the best games RPGs I’ve played on the Switch and from such as prolific series, I’d dare say it is one of the best in the Megami Tensei franchise.”
“Its world is beautifully desolate, the demons never felt more alive and the high amount of customization means you’ll be fusing for hours.”
