Publisher and developer Ubisoft is giving its shooter franchise a tiny twist with Rainbow Six SMOL, its new exclusive title for Netflix Games streaming service.
As announced during the Rainbow Six Siege Six Invitational championship tournament in Sao Paulo, Brazil, Rainbow Six SMOL joins the various Ubisoft titles such as Mighty Quest and Valiant Hearts on the Netflix platform for iOS and Android devices.
Now available for Netflix subscribers, Rainbow Six SMOL offers a rather goofy and adorable look at the otherwise serious Operators of Rainbow Six Siege.
The game is an isometric roguelite shooter that tasks players to create a new recruit and lead the Operators of Rainbow Six Siege to clear different missions by defusing bombs, freeing hostages, and dispatching enemies.
Much like its sister game, each Operator will have its own unique set of abilities; for example, Sledge be bashing obstacles with his trusty hammer.
Rainbow Six SMOL offers five different game modes as well as 10 diverse and different enemy types, ranging from regular soldiers with guns as you expected to evil cultists, demons, and dragons.
As mentioned previously, the game is a roguelite, so expect to restart the game each time you die in any of these game modes.
Ubisoft has been collaborating with Netflix to bring in various exclusive content, including the aforementioned titles as well as an Assassin’s Creed mobile game confirmed to be in development.
Aside from Ubisoft titles, Netflix has also brought in many additions to its games library, including Dead Cells, OXENFREE, and Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition, just to name a few.
