Arrowhead Game Studios has said that they will be looking for more developers to help ‘beef up’ future content for Helldivers 2.
Since its release last week, Helldivers 2 has successfully garnered over 200,000 concurrent players, earning its spot as Sony’s largest PC release to date.
In response to the massive success, Studio CEO and game director Johan Pilestedt tweeted that the company is starting to look for more developers.
“With the success of Helldivers 2, we are going to start looking for more amazing developers that can help us accelerate and beef up our content plans,” Pilestedt said.
He has also revealed that job openings will be going up soon, and senior developers are welcome to apply for positions in the company.
Helldivers 2 is a third-person online multiplayer shooter developed by Arrowhead Game Studios and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment.
The game has you playing as a Helldiver, the galaxy’s last line of offence. In a quest to fight for freedom against the rising alien threats in a hostile galaxy.
First revealed during the PlayStation showcase in May 2023, the sequel to the original game Helldivers was scheduled to be ready by the end of 2023. However, the game was announced to be delayed until the 8th of February, 2024, when it promptly broke concurrent player records of any other Steam game published by Sony upon its release.
Helldivers 2 is available on the PlayStation 5, as well as on the PC via Steam.
