ASUS ROG Phone 8 Series Launches in Malaysia 

ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) has officially announced the launch of the new ROG Phone 8 series devices in Malaysia along with its pricing.

The new ROG Phone 8 is now available in Malaysia with a starting price of RM 3,999, while the Pro model will priced at RM 4,799.

With a new redesign that is 15% thinner than its predecessor, the new ROG Phone 8 series is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Mobile Platform, supported by 8533 Mbps LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage.

Furthermore, the ROG Phone 8 series features the Rapid-Cooling Conductor design – part of the advanced GameCool 8 thermal design which conducts heat directly from the processor to the back cover; while the new AeroActive Cooler X clip-on is now 29% smaller but offers 1.2X higher thermal efficiency.

With a brand-new 6.78″ flexible AMOLED (Samsung E6) panel with a peak brightness of 2500 nits and supports adaptive refresh rates using LTPO technology, users of the ROG Phone 8 Pro series can also choose up to 165 Hz refresh rate and up to 720 Hz touching sampling rates depending on their current tasks.

Moreover, the main camera uses the latest 50 MP Sony image sensor, a 24 mm wide-angle lens, and a 2X zoom mode that can transform into a 50 mm prime lens, as well as a 6-Axis Hybrid Gimbal Stabilizer 3.0 that keeps video stabilized.

Meanwhile, the 13 MP ultrawide camera has a free-form lens and advanced algorithms to reduce lens distortion, while the front 32 MP ultrawide selfie camera has a field of view that’s been increased from 73º to 90º.

Additionally, the new phone series also incorporated a handful of AI features, such as Background Mode, X Capture, AI Grabber for text capture, X Sense that further elevates gaming experiences, Semantic Search, AI Wallpaper, as well as AI noise-cancellation.

The new ROG Phone 8 series includes unique customisable elements, including the Aura RGB Lighting logo (ROGO Phone 8), and AniMe Vision Mini-LED display (ROG Phone 8 Pro / Pro Edition) that allows users to express their individuality and creativity.

As mentioned, the new devices are now available in Malaysia with the ROG Phone 8 (12GB | 256GB) officially priced at RM 3,999, while the ROG Phone 8 Pro (16GB | 512GB) is priced at RM 4,799.

Meanwhile, the range-topping ROG Phone 8 Pro Edition (24GB | 1TB | with AeroActive Cooler X included) is priced at RM 5,999.
