Square Enix and Applibot’s free-to-play role-playing mobile game Nier Reincarnation have announced its end of service two and a half years after the game’s release.
According to the announcement from the game’s official website, Nier Reincarnation will be ending its services on 29th April 2024, one month after the final chapter of “The People of The World” event launches, with the game’s final update releasing on 28th March.
“We would like to express our deepest gratitude to our players for your patronage over the 2.5 years since we launched on July 28, 2021.” the statement reads.
In the same announcement, the game will still provide players with new content and characters, as well as various events and campaigns until the scheduled end of service.
Nier Reincarnation
Nier Reincarnation is a role-playing mobile game set in the same universe as Nier and its sequel Nier Automata, taking place at an unspecified time within an infinite area of towers dubbed the Cage.
Since the game’s initial launch in Japan in February 2021, and later worldwide in July 2021, Nier Reincarnation has amassed a total of over $68 Million USD in its lifespan.
The highest peak in revenue for the game was recorded at over $13 Million USD in February 2021, which is the game’s launch.
This news follows the end of service announcement for the SEA version of Nier Reincarnation back in May 2023.
