“Dina is warm, brilliant, wild, funny, moral, dangerous and instantly lovable,” said co-creators Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann. “You can search forever for an actor who effortlessly embodies all of those things, or you can find Isabela Merced right away. We couldn’t be prouder to have her join our family.”
Isabela Merced is known for starring in various films and series such as “Dora and the Lost City of Gold”, “Sweet Girl”, “Father of the Bride”, and “Transformers: The Last Knight”.
Dina is described as “a free-wheeling spirit whose devotion to Ellie will be tested by the brutality of the world they inhabit.”
As of time of writing, Season 2 of HBO’s The Last of Us has yet to receive a release date, but fans are eagerly awaiting the continuation series, which will focus on the repercussions of the choices made by Joel and Ellie in the first chapter.
