Best-selling crime thriller novelist Alan Wake is coming to the asymmetrical multiplayer horror game Dead by Daylight, developer Behaviour Interactive revealed.
Joining in as a new playable Survivor, the collaboration between Remedy Entertainment’s Alan Wake and Dead by Daylight is scheduled to start on January 30th, 2024.
That said, for those who can’t wait to try out Alan Wake, he is now available in a time-limited Public Test Build (PTB) that is currently ongoing on Steam.
Dead by Daylight has become a sort of love letter to the horror genre featuring many high-profile crossover collaborations from popular movies such as A Nightmare on Elm Street, Child’s Play, and Alien, as well as iconic video game franchises like Resident Evil and Silent Hill.
Hollywood mega-star Nicolas Cage even shows up as a playable survivor with a fancy suit for the game.
Now, Alan Wake, the titular author of his own game, is the latest to join the asymmetrical multiplayer and it seems that he will be introduced to Dead by Deadlight in ways that might be canon to his story.
Voice actor Matthew Porretta will reprise his role as Alan Wake, while Ilkka Villi returns as the face model for the famous crime thriller novelist.
Information regarding his perks has also been unveiled, which you can read in the patch notes here, including other balance changes and additions.
