Dragon Quest Tact
Dragon Quest Tact is a free-to-play spin-off mobile title that follows a similar gameplay style to the Dragon Quest Monsters series where players befriend and train an army of collectible monsters.
Initially released in Japan first in July 2020, the game was later launched with a global English version on the 27th of January, 2021.
The game is one of the few recent Square Enix mobile games to be discontinued in the past twelve months, which includes another spin-off title from the same franchise, Dragon Quest Monsters: Super Light, and the popular Dissidia Final Fantasy Opera Omnia.
Throughout its lifespan of about 2 years, Dragon Quest Tact managed to amass a total revenue of over $12 million USD worldwide excluding Japan.
The highest revenue contributor is the United States of America with Taiwan and South Korea following after.
The monster collector title had a noticeable decline shortly after its launch but remained consistent in terms of revenue generation throughout its lifespan.
In the 2 years of Dragon Quest Tact’s global release, it has also managed to garner total downloads of 1,576,596.
