Unicorn Overlord Shows Off Companions And Yes, You Can Marry Them (Sort Of)

Unicorn Overlord has shed more light on the various companions you’ll be fighting with in the game, as well as the game’s rapport feature.

SEGA showed off four of the companions Alain can team up with in Unicorn Overlord- Gilbert, Virginia, Berengaria and Aramis.

These companions come from a variety of backgrounds, such as the Crown Prince of Drakenhold, Gilbert or the fallen noble, Virginia or even former Tricorn Mercenaries leader Berengaria.

Of course, the game allows you to strengthen your bonds with all your companions through various means, such as taking them out into battle or having meals together.

You can even unlock special conversations, as well as special buffs from being in the same unit with these characters.

This also works into the Rapport system, which also grants bonuses for having a high relationship with certain characters in your unit.

You can even build Rapport during meal time, by having characters sat with each other and choosing your menu items carefully.

Those stationed as guards can also be given gifts, with companions sporting their own host of likes and dislikes.

However, SEGA have confirmed a pseudo-marriage system- one of your followers can be chosen to take part in the Rite of the Covenant, a special ceremony to deepen your bond with them via a special ring.

Unicorn Overlord launches March 8th for PS5, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.
