Hopping in for an unforgettable memory, Mica joins Goddess of Victory: Nikke as Snow Buddy, and here we have prepared a character breakdown guide for her.
Initially unhappy and worried about being assigned to a mission at Snowfield Hot Spring, Mica became a short-term part-timer there and forged unforgettable memories with Belorta and the others.
In this Goddess of Victory: Nikke guide for Mica: Snow Buddy, we will go through her abilities in detail, suggesting potential team synergies, and should you spend your resources pulling and building her.
Note that this guide will be an early first impression of the newly released character, and her overall performances and usability may differ over time.
Mica: Snow Buddy is an Iron Code, Burst I, SSR Supporter class Nikke who can dispel debuffs, increasing her allies’ ATK and DEF through repeated shots. She is manufactured by TETRA and wields a Submachine Gun named Winter Salute.
Wielding a Submachine Gun, she will have the following weapon stats:
- Ammo Capacity: 120
- Reload Time: 2.00 seconds
- Deals 11.7% of ATK as damage to targets.
- Deals 250% damage when attacking Core to targets.
Skill Kit (values based on Skill Level 10)
Skill 1 – Tidying Up
A passive ability that activates after Mica lands 120 normal attacks and does the following effects:
- Grants a stack of Tidying Up to all allies including herself, stacks up to 10 times, and lasts for 15 seconds.
- Each stack of Tidying Up reduces Damage Taken by 2%.
- When Tidying Up is fully stacked, all allies including Mica also gain a Max Ammunition Capacity boost by 40% continuously.
Skill 2 – Blessing Cannon
A passive ability that has various effects and they are as follows:
- After Mica lands 150 normal attacks.
- All allies including herself gain a stack count of stackable buffs by 1.
- Activates upon entering battle.
- Mica’s Burst Gauge filling speed is increased by 300% continuously.
Burst Skill – Snowfield Festival
An active ability with a cooldown time of 20 seconds and upon activation grants the following effects:
- Dispel 1 debuff from all allies.
- Increases ATK of all allies by 39.93% of Snow Buddy Mica’s ATK for 5 seconds.
Skill 1 Breakdown
Analyzing her kit, Snow Buddy Mica does seem to provide some interesting supportive effects to her team. Wielding a Submachine Gun, she naturally has 120 ammo without any Cubes or Gear equipped, making her stacking up her Skill 1 rather consistent as long as she hits all her shots.
In general, it takes about 7 seconds to go through 120 shots, and upon fully stacked, her allies and she will gain a total of 20% reduced damage taken. Furthermore, as soon as the max stacks of Tidying Up are met, her whole team gains 40% more ammo, which is a very generous amount. For example, Mica herself will get up to 168 max ammo, making it easier to activate her Skill 2.
Skill 2 Breakdown
Unfortunately, the first part of her Skill 2 is rather niche and only beneficial to units that have skills that stack such as Scarlet, Nero, Tove, Tia, or herself. Despite the official description, the ability does not bypass the max stack count but adds 1 more stack to the count, lessening the time needed to reach the full stack. Also note that there must be a stack already present for the effect to apply.
The second part of Skill 2 is an interesting one because even though it only affects Mica herself, the Burst Gauge generation bonus is quite a substantial amount, gaining 300% right at the start. However, Submachine Guns generally have a low burst generation value, so more testing is required to see how much it would impact her performance.
Burst Skill Breakdown
Lastly, her Burst Skill, which unfortunately seems rather situational because the dispel effect is not as useful as it seems since many debuffs are not dispellable in the game. That said, it may be useful against some bosses like Chatterbox.
Meanwhile, the second part of her Burst Skill is an ATK buff to the entire team. A 40% ATK up increase is pretty decent but note that this is specifically written as a percentage of Snow Buddy Mica’s ATK and not her final ATK. Since Snow Buddy Mica is a supporter and not an attacker, the attack boost may not seem as big as it looks at first glance.
Should You Pull?
From the looks of her kit, Mica: Snow Buddy does not seem to be useful in the current meta but sees some use in future content. She is a rather situational supporter where parts of her kit focus on assisting a small group of characters such as allies with stack-based abilities.
Although the effect of increasing Max Ammunition Capacity from Skill 1 is a huge plus to the team and given that she can consistently land shots, she will have no trouble keeping the effect active all the time. The Burst Guage recharge aspect of her kit may also open up interesting gameplay, so pairing her up with Burst Skill cooldown-reducing units like Dolla, Helm: Aquamarine, or Liter may have some potential.
Unfortunately, the ATK boost of her Burst does hold her back from being based on her based ATK rather than the final ATK with buffs included. She is also not well-suited for PvP since matches last too short for her skills to trigger.
Overall, she is a very situational unit and I would recommend not pulling for her and saving up for the potential New Year units. Of course, there is the fact that she is a limited Nikke and will not be available anytime soon once her banner period ends. So go for her if you are a collector and care less about the meta.
