[TGA2023] The First Berserker: Khazan is a New Brutal Action RPG Set in the DNF Universe 

MapleStory publisher Nexon unveiled The First Berserker: Khazan, a single-player action RPG set in the universe of the long-running Dungeon & Fighter (DNF) series.

During The Game Awards 2023, Nexon revealed an action-packed trailer of The First Berserker: Khazan by developer Neople, set in the DNF universe for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Windows PC via Steam.

As the name implies, you play as the classic Berserker class from the DNF universe, a vocation known for causing massive amounts of negative emotions to strengthen himself.

You play as Khazan, the Great General of the Pell Los Empire who was betrayed and exiled by his Emperor after defeating the Berserk Dragon Hismar with his friend the Archmage Ozma.

The betrayed hero Khazan then pledged vengeance upon those who brought him to ruin.

In contrast to DNF Duel, a fighting game spin-off of the Dungeon & Fighter, The First Berserker: Khazan is a hardcore action RPG where players must master the flow of combat.

In the trailer, it looks like the combat will place emphasis on evasion and parrying enemy attacks with precise timing, a standard of hardcore action RPG such as the souls-like genre.

While the trailer mostly showcases the protagonist wielding dual axes, the Berserker from DNF is better known for his brutish greatsword so perhaps there will be more weapon types to unlock as you progress through the game.

However, this is only a speculation, but the trailer does showcase unique takedowns that players can perform on enemies.

Tagged as an RPG, players are likely able to further bolster Khazan by enhancing character skills and equipping weapons and armor with unique perks, again, a speculation.
