[TGA2023] Team Ninja’s New Title Rise of the Ronin Release Date Announced

Team Ninja has just announced the release date for Rise of the Ronin at today’s The Game Awards 2023.

Rise of the Ronin will be a PlayStation 5 exlcusive and will be launching on 22nd March 2024, with pre-orders starting on 14th December 2023.

Team Ninja’s upcoming title was first revealed during last year’s State of Play back in September 2022.

Rise of the Ronin will allow players to fully embody a Ronin during the closing days of the Tokugawa Shogunate, as players set off on a journey exploring the vast world of late-Edo period Japan by horse and glider, while battling foes using a wide range of weapons and equipment from melee weapons like swords and spears, a ranged weapons like firearms and thrown weapons.

Pre-orders of the game will open on 14th December 2023 at all participating retailers, PlayStation Store, and the PlayStation Direct website.

The Standard Edition of Rise of the Ronin is priced at $69.99 / £69.99/ €79.99/ ¥8,980 MSRP, while the Digital Deluxe Edition being priced at $79.99 / £79.99/ €89.99/ ¥9,980 MSRP which includes the game, all the pre-order incentives, as well as Iga Ninja’s Staff, Toyokuni Paired Swords, Bando Warrior Armour set and Japanese Formal Wear set.
