Captain Tsubasa Ace has introduced an interesting mechanic for players who care about PVP but don’t have the best gacha luck- the ability to buy units outright.
Once players unlock the Ace Showdown PVP mode in Captain Tsubasa Ace, they’ll be able to unlock Glory Medallions by winning matches- these can then be used to purchase players.
Alternatively, players can also get Glory Medallions using Season Tokens in the Season shop.
It should be noted though that this only applies to PVP- the game outright tells you that you won’t be able to use these units for anything other than PVP, so players who want to focus on single player missions will still be at the mercy of their gacha pulls.
While SSR characters are more expensive than their more common counterparts, it doesn’t seem to be fixed on rarity alone- SSR Tsubasa Ozora [MF] costs a whopping 15000 Glory Medallions while SSR Ryo Ishizaki [DF] only costs a paltry 3000.
Captain Tsubasa Ace is a new 3d game that allows you to build your own lineup of footballers from the classic Captain Tsubasa manga- with a focus on real time gameplay and timing special skills like Passing and Shooting.
The game is available now for Android and iOS devices.
