Do note that Black Clover M does place heavy emphasis on type advantages and disadvantages, so for this tier list, we will categorize the characters into their respective types. These types act like elemental defenses in other games and having the advantage will grant players increased DMG and CRIT Rate, but having penalized said stats when having disadvantages.

Another thing to note is that there are various classes in Black Clover M, so do pay attention to each character’s classes and their respective roles when team building for more optimized damage and defense.

Rating(s):

S Tier – The folks who excel at fulfilling their role in most scenarios, from story to endgame.
A Tier – Still an excellent batch of characters, only falling slightly behind the S-tier units.
B Tier – Still worth the investment and can be solid in certain teams or circumstances.
C Tier – Situational.
D Tier – Very situational. Not recommended unless under a specific scenario or if you love the character.

Also, take note that the tier list is based on early impressions and information from the Japan and South Korean servers, so a character’s placement and strength may differ in the future when more content drops.

	Aside from his obnoxious screams, Clover Academy Asta is an amazing DPS the fact that he can stack up damage-boosting buffs after buffs.
Charlotte Roselei	Rarity: SSR	Class: Debuffer
	Extremely powerful debuffer in both PvE and PvP due to her skill kit having a balance of both offensive and defensive debuffs, able to weaken enemies’ defenses and damage output.
Yami Sukehiro	Rarity: SSR	Class: Attacker
	Destruction God Yami is here to rumble, possessing amazing damage output especially if you can complement him with a buffer.
Finral Roulacase	Rarity: SR	Class: Supporter
	Finral is a powerful offensive support with abilities to further bolster his allies’ damage potential to greater heights.
Sense
Licht	Rarity: SSR	Class: Attacker
	Master of critical hits with constantly increasing CRIT Rate and DEF PEN.
Mimosa (Clover Academy)	Rarity: SSR	Class: Healer
	Let’s see here, apart from healing, she can… increase Special Points, Defense, DMG RES, Extend Buff Durations, and Resurrect fallen allies. Yup!
Rades Spirito	Rarity: SSR	Class: Defender
	A defender who is equally offensive as he is defensive thanks to his Poison. He can also grant his team Barriers and Debuff Immunity, protecting them from any harm.
Rhya	Rarity: SSR	Class: Attacker
	Becomes deadlier as long as he has buffs on him but hey, he can copy buffs from enemies too, making the damage boost uptime almost always constant.
Technique
Fana	Rarity: SSR	Class: Attacker
	Burn baby burn! As she burns enemies, she lifesteal and gains increased DMG Dealt.
Lotus Whomalt	Rarity: SSR	Class: Debuffer
	What makes Lotus great is his control capability, reducing enemy speed to slow their offenses or cleanse off any positive buffs from them.
Mars	Rarity: SSR	Class: Defender
	Mars can taunt enemies and take damage like a champ, while also having the ability to stun and reduce his foes’ defenses.
William Vangeance	Rarity: SSR	Class: Supporter
	His name is spelled with an “a” but that does not mean that vengeance is not in his name. William is a powerful buffer that not only grants damage and SPD boost but also allows his allies to Counterattack.
Yami (Clover Academy)	Rarity: SSR	Class: Attacker
	Another Yami in S-Tier, who would have guessed. Not only does he possess great damage output but he can inflict Silence, Reduce Special Points, Block HP Recovery, and even nullify enemy barriers. This makes him an absolute monster in PvP.

	Here are some potions of strength because Sally can grant allies with a lot of damage boosts but also Lifesteal as well as extending buff durations.
Vetto	Rarity: SSR	Class: Defender
	Has powerful self-sustain because of the Lifesteal but Vetto also becomes stronger when there is a fallen ally.
Asta	Rarity: SR	Class: Defender
	The screamer is back and the base SR variant is not bad as well. A flexible lad who can self-cleanse and gain plenty of defensive stats to protect himself.
Mimosa Vermillion	Rarity: SR	Class: Healer
	Lots of healing. Like a lot.
Noelle Silva	Rarity: SR	Class: Supporter
	If you want defenses, Noelle can supply lots of defense boosts and even Barriers. She is not weak on the offensive front as well, thanks to all the other damage increase spells she has.

Fuegoleon Vermillion	Rarity: SSR	Class: Attacker
	Almost the same as Fana. Essentially, lots of fire, and every time enemies take Burn damage, Fuegoleon becomes stronger.
Rill Boismortier	Rarity: SSR	Class: Debuffer
	Offensive debuffer who excels at reducing enemies’ defenses and controlling the field through Stun and Dispel. Oh, also he can stop an enemy from gaining buffs.
Nebra Silva	Rarity: SR	Class: Debuffer
	Offensive debuffer who can also control the battle by disabling enemies from taking a turn as well as summoning clones for more advantage.
Valtos	Rarity: SR	Class: Supporter
	Valtos specializes in Stamina-related buffs, ensuring allies’ Stamina is top-up at all times. Especially powerful in PvP.
Vanessa Enoteca	Rarity: SR	Class: Supporter
	Defensive supporter who can grant allies with Total Defense and Blessing of Protection, with the former counting all damage received as blocked while the latter restores HP to allies for each damage blocked.

Nozel Silva	Rarity: SSR	Class: Debuffer
	Nozel made a great PvP character especially thanks to his ability to inflict Buff Block and Reduced Special Points to opponents.
Charmy Pappitson	Rarity: SR	Class: Healer
	Heals and cleanse specialist who can also increase allies’ Special Points and M. ATK with Combine Attack.
Sol Marron	Rarity: SR	Class: Defender
	Specializes in Taunting enemies and reducing their ATK by a stupid amount.
Solid Silva	Rarity: SR	Class: Attacker
	Is he solid? Yes, he is, especially with his increased CRIT DMG and Silence capability.

Leopold Vermillion	Rarity: SSR	Class: Attacker
	Leopold excels at inflicting Burn and granting himself Lifesteal for sustain.
Theresa	Rarity: SR	Class: Healer
	Most of her healing ability is tied to enemies taking continuous damage, making her a rather situational healer.
Sense
Yuno	Rarity: SR	Class: Attacker
	A solid DPS but overshadowed by many other better options.
Technique
Jack the Ripper	Rarity: SSR	Class: Attacker
	Not a terrible DPS by any means, but most of his damage output relies on him inflicting Bleed on enemies.
Gauche Adlai	Rarity: SR	Class: Attacker
	Can be a great DPS under certain situations because of his reliance on Extra Attack, but because of that, he can be rather inconsistent.
Gifso	Rarity: SR	Class: Attacker
	One prominent feature of Gifso is his ability to increase allies’ damage against bosses, but such a trait also made him rather niche.
Luck Voltia	Rarity: SR	Class: Attacker
	His luck would shock you because he is a DPS that relies on chance to inflict Shock on enemies. However, Shock does not deal as much damage as other forms of debuffs, making him not as powerful as other continuous damage DPS.

Magna Swing	Rarity: SR	Class: Debuffer
	You should swing away from Magna if you have other Burn-based DPS because they just do a better job than Magna.
Sense
Alecdora Sandler	Rarity: SR	Class: Attacker
	Does have good control abilities through chances to Stun enemies, but it is still chance-based regardless, so inconsistent performances.
Technique
Heath Grice	Rarity: SR	Class: Debuffer
	Despite him being able to inflict both Bleed and Freeze, he still offers inconsistent performance since all his debuffs are heavily chance-based.

D

Power
Shiren Tium	Rarity: SR	Class: Debuffer
	His DEF Reduction debuff requires enemies to be Stunned and he only has 40% to inflict Stun. Why bother?
Baro	Rarity: R	Class: Defender
	Other Defenders just offer more utilities than Baro.
Geork	Rarity: R	Class: Attacker
	Unimpressive stats and abilities.
Lily	Rarity: R	Class: Healer
	Inconsistent healing and dispelling.
Neige	Rarity: R	Class: Debuffer
	Given how incredibly flexible the higher rarity debuffers are, Neige felt worthless to even exist in this game.
Sense
Catherine	Rarity: R	Class: Debuffer
	Consider other debuffers because they offer far more than Catherine could ever dream of.
Klaus Lunettes	Rarity: R	Class: Defender
	Low DMG RES buff value compared to many other Defenders and other forms of protective spells only has 50% or lower to apply to allies.
Marx Francois	Rarity: R	Class: Supporter
	Marx does not know what he wants to be and even if there is a role for him, he does a terrible job at them.
Technique
Gordon Agrippa	Rarity: R	Class: Debuffer
	Marilyn Manson called and he wants his likeness back. Unless there’s some Poison-focused team synergy in the future, you far better off staying away from this creep.
Revchi Salik	Rarity: R	Class: Debuffer
	Laughably low rates of applying either ATK Reduction or Bleed. Heck, half of his kit does not even apply debuffs despite being a Debuffer.
Salim de Hapshass	Rarity: R	Class: Attacker
	Laughable damage.
Sekke Bronzazza	Rarity: R	Class: Defender
	Does not matter if he Taunts an enemy when his defensive self-buffs are so lackluster.

Hopefully, this tier list can help you plan ahead efficiently on which characters to spend resources on or who to target when pulling. However, as with any gacha game, we recommend you invest in a character you like rather than blindly following meta.
