Time to welcome the Knight of Beauty Argenti into Honkai Star Rail with your bouquet of roses and here we have a guide that goes through everything about him.
Regarded himself as the paragon knight of the Knights of Beauty, the forthright and noble Argenti wanders the cosmos espousing the virtues of the Aeon of Beauty, Idrila’s good name. Upholding the good name of Beauty is Argenti’s duty and to fulfill this responsibility, one must be pious when one initiates battles, and one must make their opponent yield willingly when one strikes with one’s spear.
In this Honkai Star Rail guide for Argenti, we will go through his abilities in detail, recommending the best Relic or Light Cone for him, and his potential teams.
Argenti is a 5✦ Physical character who follows the Path of Erudition and has a unique trait that allows him to use a more potent and destructive Ultimate by consuming more Energy. Argenti also gains more CRIT Rate and regenerates more Energy, the more enemies he hits.
Basic ATK – Fleeting Fragrance
Argenti lunges toward his target and swings his spear, dealing Physical DMG to a single enemy equal to a portion of Argenti’s ATK.
Talent – Sublime Object
For every enemy hit when Argenti uses his Basic ATK, Skill, or Ultimate, regenerates Argenti’s Energy by 3 and grants him a set number of Apotheosis stacks, increasing his CRIT Rate. This effect is stackable up to 10 times.
Skill – Justice, Hereby Blooms
Leaps into the air, Argenti brandishes his spear and slams down, dealing Physical DMG to all enemies equal to a percentage of Argenti’s ATK.
Ultimate
Unlike other characters in Honkai Star Rail, Argenti has two different Ultimate attacks and he would cast them depending on the amount of Energy spent.
For In This Garden, Supreme Beauty Bestows
Consumes 90 Energy to deal Physical DMG to all enemies equal to a percentage of Argenti’s ATK.
Merit Bestowed in “My” Garden
Consumes 180 Energy to deal Physical DMG to all enemies equal to a percentage of Argenti’s ATK. Furthermore, deals Physical DMG for 6 additional times, each time to a random enemy.
Technique – Manifesto of Purest Virtue
After using Argenti’s Technique, enemies at a set distance are inflicted with Daze, causing them to not actively seek and attack the player.
When initiating combat against a Dazed enemy, Argenti will deal Physical DMG to all enemies equal to 80% of Argenti’s ATK and regenerate 15 Energy upon entering battle.
Ascension Traces
Piety (Ascension 2)
At the start of a turn, immediately gains 1 stack of Apotheosis from his Talent.
Generosity (Ascension 4)
When enemy targets enter battle, Argenti immediately regenerates 2 Energy for himself.
Courage (Ascension 6)
Deals 15% more DMG to enemies whose HP percentage is 50% or less.
Ability Breakdown
Be blinded by Argenti’s dazzling beauty because this ardent follower of Idrila is here to unleash flowery flourishes to take down those who stand in his way. Aside from his Ultimate, Argenti is a rather straightforward character who excels at demolishing waves of lowly goons as an Erudition follower.
His Skill is as straightforward as it gets, hitting all enemies at once and dealing Physical DMG. That said, Argenti does have a special trait that sets him apart from other Erudition characters and that is his unique ability to cast his Ultimate depending on the amount of Energy spent. Essentially, you can adapt to situations and control the strength of Argenti’s Ultimate. Perhaps using the weaker variant to chain up multiple casts for enemy wave after wave, or unleashing the more potent Ultimate to immediately drop an Elite’s health down.
Given his unique Ultimate and his reliance on utilizing them as frequently as possible, Argenti would need plenty of Energy. This is where his Talent comes into play, regenerating Energy as well as bolstering his CRIT Rate to a whopping 28% increase once gathered up the maximum Apotheosis stacks. Stacking up to 10 stacks, every enemy hit by Argenti’s attack grants one stack, thus hitting multiple at once would allow this gallant red-haired knight to reach the maximum stacks quicker.
In most cases, it is more advisable to use Argenti’s Skill or Ultimate to upkeep the Apotheosis stacks, and because of it, this knightly champion is quite a Skill Point negative character.
Eidolons
Sir Knight in shining armor is quite a viable warrior on the battlefield at E0. Like always, you can still consider Argenti’s Eidolons if you have sufficient Stellar Jades to spend as each further strengthens him.
Eidolons | ||||
E1 - A Lacuna in Kingdom of Aethetics | Abbreviated Effect: Each stack of Apotheosis also increases CRIT DMG by 4%.
Notes: Great Eidolon to go for, providing a good 15% - 25% increase in damage output.
E2 - Agate's Humility | Abbreviated Effect: If there are 3 or more enemies when Ultimate is used, ATK increases by 40% for 1 turn.
Notes: Another good Eidolon, increasing Argenti’s damage output as long as he cast his Ultimate against 3 or more enemies. Although this Eidolon would not be useful against certain bosses.
E3 - Thorny Road's Glory | Abbreviated Effect: Skill Lv. +2, up to a maximum of Lv. 15. Talent Lv. +2, up to a maximum of Lv. 15.
Notes: Considering how important his Talent is for maintaining consistent damage output and Energy supply, more levels are always welcome.
E4 - Trumpet's Dedication | Abbreviated Effect: Gains 2 Apotheosis and increases maximum stack limit by 2 at the start of battle.
Notes: More CRIT Rate and CRIT DMG increase means more damage output.
E5 - Snow, From Somewhere in Cosmos | Abbreviated Effect: Ultimate Lv. +2, up to a maximum of Lv. 15. Basic ATK Lv. +1, up to a maximum of Lv. 10.
Notes: More stats are always welcome.
E6 - "Your" Resplendence | Abbreviated Effect: Ultimate ignores 30% of enemies’ DEF.
Notes: Big damage go brrr… |
Relics and Planar Ornaments Build
When considering Relics and Planar Ornament build, know that Argenti relies on offensive stats to go nuts with his damage output. In other words, focus on maximizing his damage output with the stats he scaled with, which is ATK, as well as hitting the 1:2 CRIT Rate CRIT DMG ratio.
Since his Talent should provide a sufficient Energy Regeneration Rate, he need not have said stat on a Link Rope.
Stats Priority | ||||
Body | CRIT Rate / CRIT DMG
Feet | ATK% / SPD | |||
Planar Sphere | Physical DMG Boost%
Link Rope | ATK% | |||
Substats Priority | CRIT Rate / CRIT DMG → ATK% / SPD
Recommended Relic Sets
Champion of Streetwise Boxing x4 |
2-Piece Bonus: Increases Physical DMG by 10%. 4-Piece Bonus: After the wearer attacks or is hit, their ATK increases by 5% for the rest of the battle. This effect can stack up to 5 time(s). |
Reason: The best Relic set for Argenti, providing him with a boost of his main damage type, Physical DMG and the 4-piece bonus stacks up ATK to further bolster his damage potential.
Champion of Streetwise Boxing x2 |
2-Piece Bonus: Increases Physical DMG by 10%. 2-Piece Bonus: ATK increases by 12%. |
Reason: A good budget option since both Relic sets provide Argenti with stats he scales with, although less optimal than 4 pieces of Champion of Streetwise Boxing.
Musketeer of Wild Wheat x2
Recommended Planar Ornaments
Inert Salsotto | 2-Piece Bonus: Increases the wearer's CRIT Rate by 8%. When the wearer's current CRIT Rate reaches 50% or higher, the wearer's Ultimate and follow-up attack DMG increases by 15%. | Reason: Best Planar Ornament for Argenti by a long shot, providing him with a boost in CRIT Rate to hit the recommended stats ratio easier as well as boosting his Ultimate’s DMG, which is where most of his damage stems from.
Firmament Frontline: Glamoth | 2-Piece Bonus: Increases the wearer's ATK by 12%. When the wearer's SPD is equal to or higher than 135/160, the wearer deals 12%/18% more DMG. | Reason: A good stand-in if you do not have a good pair of Inert Salsotto as Firmament Frontline: Glamoth does give a good amount of ATK boost, especially if you hit the right SPD requirements for the add-on effect. However, this means that you would have to further tune your SPD accordingly. |
Light Cones Build
As always, the 5★ limited characters’ Light Cone is generally the respective characters’ best-in-slot and Argenti is no exception.
His signature Light Cone is An Instant Before A Gaze and its effect is straight-up tailor-made for Argenti. Its effect is called “A Knight’s Pilgrimage” and what it does is as follows:
- Increases the wearer’s CRIT DMG by 36%. When the wearer uses their Ultimate, the wearer’s Ultimate DMG increases based on their Max Energy: Ultimate DMG increases by 0.36% per point of Energy, up to 180 Energy.
Of course, if you are not planning to pull for Argenti’s Light Cone, you can still go with many other alternatives such as the following:
5★ Light Cone(s) | ||||
Before Dawn |
Long Night Increases the wearer's CRIT DMG by 36%. Increases the wearer's Skill and Ultimate DMG by 18%. After the wearer uses their Skill or Ultimate, they gain Somnus Corpus. Upon triggering a follow-up attack, Somnus Corpus will be consumed and the follow-up attack DMG increases by 48%. |
Reason: This is a good Light Cone for the stats alone, however, it is currently unobtainable until Jingyuan gets his rerun. Of course, since Argenti has now follow-up attacks, the Light Cone’s secondary effect is totally worthless on him.
Night on the Milky Way |
Meteor Swarm For every enemy on the field, increases the wearer's ATK by 9.0%, up to 5 stacks. When an enemy is inflicted with Weakness Break, the DMG dealt by the wearer increases by 30% for 1 turn. |
Reason: A good alternative especially against hordes of enemies who are weak to Physical DMG but not as good when against bosses.
4★ Light Cone(s) | ||||
Today is Another Peaceful Day |
A Storm Is Coming After entering battle, increases the wearer's DMG based on their Max Energy. DMG increases by 0.20% per point of Energy, up to 160 Energy. |
Reason: Thanks to Argenti’s consistent stream of Energy, he can easily take advantage of this Light Cone’s effect and even keep the effect maxed up multiple turns. Note that this is a Nameless Glory Battle Pass Light Cone so requiring spending real-world money.
Make the World Clamor |
The Power of Sound The wearer regenerates 20 Energy immediately upon entering battle, and increases Ultimate DMG by 32%. |
Reason: Gain lots of Energy upon entering battle and boost Ultimate damage. A good choice for Argenti.
3★ Light Cone(s) | ||||
Data Bank |
Learned Increases the wearer's Ultimate DMG by 28%. |
Reason: While 3 Light Cones are generally not recommended due to their weak stats, Data Bank can be a good stand-in until you obtain much better choices since it boosts one of Argenti’s most important abilities, his Ultimate. |
Teams and Synergies
Since Argenti is rather straightforward as a character, he can be slotted into many different team compositions as a Main DPS with support by his side further enhancing his damage output.
While he does have a strong Energy Regeneration Rate built into his kit, it can still benefit him a lot by having support that grants Energy as well, enabling an Ultimate spamming playstyle.
Main DPS | Support | Support | Healer |
Argenti | Bronya | Tingyun | Huohuo |
Bronya is the star in Argenti's team as she can manipulate turn order, allowing the gallant knight to take turns more and stack up Apotheosis more often. As always, Tingyun serves as a great support in boosting a DPS' offensive capabilities and Energy needs while Huohuo does the same but with healing as well.
Argenti | Silver Wolf | Asta | Huohuo |
Silver Wolf has always been a popular choice in weakening enemies' Defenses, while Asta helps to further boost Argenti's damage potential. |
Due to Argenti’s flexibility, other alternative Harmony supports to consider are Yukong and Hanya, or Nihility debuffer such as Pela is also a great ally.
Should You Pull?
From the looks of his kit, Argenti’s theatrics equate to his combat prowess, balancing his performances for beauty with destructive strength. The answer to whether should you pull for him depends on what you are looking for as his role is purely on damage output.
If you lack good Physical DPS, then Argenti is a great character to pull for especially considering how flexible he is and how easy it is to manage his Energy. Who does not like seeing rose petals raining down on the screen?
