Skull and Bones might have a new release date in 2024, according to a trusted game insider.
The news comes via Tom Henderson of Insider Gaming, who says sources have told him that Skull and Bones will release on February 16th 2024.
This does track with previous information about the title, with Ubisoft confirming the game would launch by the end of the 2023 fiscal year.
“The lineup for the remainder of the fiscal year includes, on the premium side, Assassin’s Creed Mirage, Assassin’s Creed Nexus VR, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, Just Dance® 2024 edition, Prince of Persia The Lost Crown and Skull and Bones, which is set to release during Q4 2023-24”, reads Ubisoft’s previously released financial report (emphasis ours).
Additionally, the report claims the game will have a premium version of the title that includes three days of early access.
Given the short gap between now and the game’s release, it’s unclear when Ubisoft actually would plan to announce this- though the safest bet would be during The Game Awards.
Skull and Bones has been a bit of an enigma in the games industry- the title has been delayed multiple times, with fans of the high-seas game eager to finally get their hands on it.
