Hololive English Gawr Gura Collaborates With Sendai Umino-Mori Aquarium To Increase Tourism

COVER Corporation has announced the collaboration between hololive English Myth’s Gawr Gura and the Sendai Umino-Mori Aquarium as part of increasing inbound tourism to the City of Sendai.

The collaboration event “Guraium in Sendai Umino-Mori Aquarium” will be open for a limited time starting from 20th January 2024 to 29th February 2024.

This event will be held in collaboration with the City of Sendai alongside with Gawr Gura as part of Japan’s Blue Tourism Promotion Initiative by the Japan Tourism Agency (Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism), where both parties will be promoting Sendai and the surrounding coastal areas in hopes of attracting both local and overseas travelers.

During the event period, Guraium in Sendai Umino-Mori Aquarium will be featuring a newly drawn life-size panel along a welcome movie, introductions of creatures by Gawr Gura herself.

Additionally, there will also be a sardine show titled “Sparkling of Life”, at The Sparking of Life in the Ocean central tank, and performances by dolphins and sea lions at the UMINO MORI Stadium, “STADIUM LIVE~We Are One~”.

The programs will be featuring Gawr Gura’s voice in the narration and will also feature music by hololive production on top of collaboration food, drinks, and merchandise featuring newly drawn illustrations of Gawr Gura will be scheduled for sale.
