The Blue Lock – Episode Nagi movie was initially announced back in May, alongside with the announcement of a second season of the anime, which had gained popularity both in Japan and worldwide.
Blue Lock Episode Nagi is based off the spin-off manga series of the same name, which follows the story of Seishiro Nagi and his life before the events of him entering the Blue Lock facility.
The synopsis of the spin-off series is as follows:
Seishiro Nagi, a second-year high school student. A boy who has a habit of saying “Troublesome” lived his days lethargically. Until he finds his talent in the striker training dormitory “Blue Prison” aiming to win the Japanese soccer World Cup and his partner Reo Mikage.
As of time of writing, the premier date of the movie is only for Japan, so it is still unsure if the rest of the world will get the opportunity to watch it.
