Sony Pictures Entertainment has released a new trailer for The Garfield Movie, giving us a first look at the upcoming movie.
Not only did the trailer give us a first look as Chris Pratt’s Garfield, it also surprised us with Samuel L. Jackson’s voice role as Garfield’s dad, Vic.
Previously set to release on February 16th, 2024, the movie has since been delayed to May 24th, 2024 in the United States, with no worldwide release date being announced yet.
Garfield, the world-famous, Monday-hating, lasagna-loving indoor cat, is about to have a wild outdoor adventure.
After an unexpected reunion with his long-lost father, a scruffy street cat named Vic, Garfield and his canine friend, Odie, are forced from their perfectly pampered life into joining Vic in a high-stakes heist.
The movie is based on Garfield, a fictional cat and protagonist of the comic strip of the same name, created by Jim Davis.
Garfield is often portrayed as a lazy, fat, and cynical orange tabby Persian cat, especially noted for his love of lasagna and sleeping, and his hatred of Mondays, Nermal, and exercise.
This wouldn’t be Chris Pratt’s first time voicing a character in an animated movie, as he had also previously voiced Mario in The Super Mario Bros. Movie.
