[Guide] Mortal Kombat Onslaught – Character Tier List

Mortal Kombat Onslaught has now opened its doors and Kombatants may be wondering about which champions of Earthrealm and Outworld rank best in terms of strength on a tier list.

Here, we have an early tier list ranking each character and their strength in Mortal Kombat Onslaught at launch, and who will unleash the most fatalities onto their enemies.

Do note the tier list is based on early impressions and that a character’s placement and strength may differ in the future when more content drops.

Tier	Character	Ability Breakdown
S		As the Wind God, Fujin is capable of unleashing flurries of attack in an instant, breaking enemies’ block stances, and knocking foes airborne.

		This cowboy mercenary is a powerful ranged fighter who can further boost his damage output by inflicting defense reduction on his targets.
	Deadeye Erron Black
		Prince of the Shokan race who is able to withstand lots of melee punishes while possessing devastating AoE abilities.
	Goro
		Undying Shao Kahn grows in strength as his health becomes lower and can empower his own attacks for destructive damage. Additionally, he can revive himself upon death once per match.

		Shao Kahn just can’t help himself to konquer more than Outworld and as the realm’s leader, he grants all Outworlders more Max HP. Furthermore, big man Shao Kahn becomes stronger as his health gets lower while also having the ability to become invulnerable to damage for a few seconds.

		Hats! Kung Lao loves his Razor Hat and whenever he hits an enemy with his super sharp hat, he applies BLEED to them and when enemies are bleeding, he gains Special Meter regularly.

		Spooky Kitana can absorb Special Charges from her enemies and gain damage increase based on the percentage proportional to the Special Charge missing from her target.
	Revenant Kitana
		Sub-Zero is out initiating another Ice Age, capable of freezing enemies, reducing their Special Charge Rate, and absorbing a good chunk of damage while negating a portion of it.

		Screaming at the top of her lungs, Sindel is a powerful support who can purge enemies and apply the Unhealable debuff on them, boosting damage against whoever is in such a state.

		Despite Shang Tsung being a soul-stealing villain, he is somehow a friendly supporter in Onslaught. He is capable of healing and cleansing allies of effects as well as granting teammates magic damage boosts.

A		Howdy once again. This variant of Erron Black can ignore a percentage of his target’s defense while setting up traps to play unfairness.

		This ninja wraith ain’t a noob because he is capable of summoning a Shadow Double to absorb some damage for him, gaining a good amount of defensive buffs while slicing enemies with his edgy sickle.

		Quan Chi points to his enemies and says, “Vampirism”. This powerful sorcerer loves Vampirism and can grant Netherrealm allies such a buff, healing percentage of health as they go on the offense.

		Still on his journey to consult the Elder Gods in this timeline, Raiden’s kit has lots of zapping as he strikes his enemies with bouncing lightning, and more lightning, and more lightning.

		Skarlet smells blood and is about to unleash a bloody mess. She can sacrifice parts of her own health to boost damage and can gain critical hit rates as she fights.

B		Jade got the moves, able to dodge all ranged attacks for a duration after getting hit by them 10 times while also being able to increase her own critical hit rate and ignore enemy defenses.

		Johnny Cage fights his enemies with his overly inflated ego and the Nut Kracker punch, lowering enemy defenses while boosting his own critical damage.

		Jax Briggs is a Fire Support, as in he supports the use of firearms with his teamwide ranged damage buff.

		Princess Kitana swings her razor fans around to blow off steam, dealing damage to multiple enemies as the fans bounce.

		Get over here! Scorpion is able to unleash fiery attacks that apply Burn to enemies, knocking them back, and pulling targets closer.

		Hat boy Kung Lao is a defensive variant who is able to boost his own blocks, avoiding damage and taunting enemies.

		Despite the Variant’s name, this Sonya does not use camouflage in battle. Instead, she is capable of boosting the frontlines's defenses and manipulating enemies to punch themselves.

		Icy cold Sub-Zero can boost his own defenses, taunt enemies, and apply Frozen in a large area.

		Striking her enemies with a stick, Tanya can buff herself and her allies while possessing strong AoE attacks.

		Her name says it all. Frost can freeze enemies and bolster her damage potential against any Frozen enemies.

C		Healer Fujin variant, every one of his abilities heals.

		Jax punches with his bionic arms, applying Accuracy debuff to enemies. What’s more, he heals back a percentage of Max HP when health falls below 40%.

		Leader of the Black Dragon who boosts the capabilities of Auto-Abilities and can call in thugs to do his dirty work.
	Kano
		Champion of Earthrealm and everything offense. He can attack consecutively, buff himself, and has Vampirism.

		Mileena’s teeth ain’t for show. Her abilities revolve around the Bleed status which she applies to her enemies and enhances its effects.

		Nightwolf starts off battle being immune to Crowd Control effects and he can further bolster his damage output through the elements.

		This pink-haired arsonist is capable of applying Greased and Burn to enemies, as well as healing herself.
	Firestarter Black Dragon
		Lin Kuei icy manipulator who can bolster allies’ defenses and applies Frozen to enemies.
	Cryomancer Lin Kuei
D		Baraka is a decent support who enhances other Tarkatans. Unfortunately, Onslaught does not have many Tarkatans at the moment.

		Sonya boosts Critical Hit Chance and Critical Damage, thus her ranking may change as more characters are released. Also, she summons a little turret.
	Sonya Blade
		Kano’s goon, if you can’t tell. His damage output is based on the accuracy he has over his target.
	Sniper Black Dragon
		She is a medic and she heals.
	Medic Special Forces
		Soldier boy who can gain an attack boost when receiving healing and he does not have self-heal abilities.
	Sergeant Special Forces
		Can gain defenses but require living Outworld allies. Can become invulnerable to damage but cannot attack.
	Elite Guard Shao Soldier
		A spear-throwing Shokan who has a kit that focuses on enhancing his first ability.
	Royal Guard Shokan Warrior
		All her abilities require her to win Initiative or else she gains no benefits.
	Blademistress Shokan Warrior
		A monk who has a straightforward ranged attack ability and can heal an ally for a percentage of his max health.
	Master Shaolin Monk
		Can boost his own defense and buff up his block.
	Guardian Spirit
		Not exactly deadly but has a variety of ranged attacks and deals more damage against Defenders.
	Deadly Spirit
		Capable of healing allies in a wide area for a percentage of his Max HP as well as their dodge rate, however, the boost to non-Netherrealm teammates is lessened.
	Mending Spirit
		One of the only 3 Tarkatans in the game. The Brute gains damage for his third skill as he loses health and all other Tarkatans will gain more Max HP.
