Tokyo Ghoul: Break the Chains, a strategy mobile card game based on the dark fantasy seinen manga by Sui Ishida, now has an official release date.
As announced, Tokyo Ghoul: Break the Chains now has a release date of 9 November 2023 and will be launched on Android and iOS devices.
According to the announcement, the launch will be a public open beta and servers will open on the 9th of November, 2023, at 10 AM (UTC+8).
Break the Chains
Tokyo Ghoul: Break the Chains is a turn-based strategy card game that faithfully retells the stories of the anime adaptation by animation studio Pierrot, delivering fans an immersive experience of Sui Ishida’s psychological dark fantasy world.
The plot depicts the conflict between humans and the cannibalistic ghouls coexisting together, while protagonist Ken Kaneki becomes involved in an accident that turns him into a hybrid of the two races.
Break the Chains will place players in a maze to explore, and engage in co-op or player-versus-player battles in a collectible card game format.
Pre-Registration
The game is currently open for pre-registrations and alongside the release date announcement, KOMOE TECHNOLOGY has unveiled the milestones achieved.
As of writing, Tokyo Ghoul: Break the Chains has surpassed 500,000 pre-registrations, and as a sign of gratitude, players will be able to obtain the following rewards at launch:
- Summon Ticket x3
- Stamina x100
There is still plenty of time to pre-register for the game and by doing so, you will be able to get 50,000 Gold, 1 Rc Cell Casket IV, and 10 Summon Tickets.
Additionally, upon hitting the next 3 tiers of the pre-registration milestone, players will also be able to receive the following:
- 800,000 registrations milestone – Summon Ticket x5, Ken Kaneki (Main page)
- 1,000,000 registrations milestone – Summon Ticket x10
- 1,500,000 registrations milestone – Exclusive Avatar Frame x1, Summon Ticket x10
