MDEC and MATRADE are joining hands to lead and showcase 16 Malaysian gaming and creative content companies at Tokyo Game Show (TGS) 2023.
TGS is Japan’s largest annual trade show for video game developers, and one of the world’s biggest game shows, and will be held from 21st to 24th September 2023.
This move is comes as both Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) and Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) are committed to showcase talented gaming developers from Malaysia, strengthen relations with Japan, and provide opportunity to engage with industry leaders through TGS2023.
MDEC is poised to engage with major Japanese publishers, developers, and investors in securing opportunities for Malaysia such as the Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), export and outsourcing deals, Intellectual Property (IP) publishing partnerships, and funding for the Digital Content Industry.
The 16 Malaysian companies invited by MDEC and MATRADE to converge at TGS 2023 are:

MDEC will also be hosting its own event, Malaysia Digital Expo 2023 (MDX2023) in September, a six-week long empowerment platform that brings together Malaysia’s digital economy for a large scale ‘Show and Tell’.
TGS 2023 will be open to the public, with general admission tickets being for sale.
