A Fan Decided To Recreate Meet the Heavy With The Original Voice Actor

A fan has decided to recreate the popular Team Fortress 2 (TF2) trailer, ‘Meet the Heavy’ with Gary Schwartz, the original voice for Heavy.

TF2 content creator ShorK collaborated with Gary Schwartz, one of the many amazing Voice Actors behind TF2, to recreate the famous Meet the Heavy short video.

Originally released in 2009, Meet the Heavy is a popular TF2 character trailer that has amassed over 20 million views over the span of 14 years and spawned an entire series of trailers, with the last one being released in 2012.

ShorK has said in a message that this was possible thanks to the strong TF2 community.

“The TF2 Community is amazing and because of how strong it is, we are able to do things like this! If you want to see more like this in the future, feel free to subscribe and also you can check out our propmakers store, with some custom TF2 merchandise!”  they said.

Attached to the message was a link to a store, where you can get custom merchandise to support similar projects in the future.

Moreover, there will be a live signing event involving all the TF2 voice actors, where you can buy posters signed by all your favourite TF2 characters, including a personalised autograph from the Heavy.

Gary Schwartz, a big TF2 fan himself has been acting in TF2 themed skits that were posted on Twitter.

Coincidentally, this was also released on the 20th anniversary of Steam, where Steam also had various TF2 tributes.

ShorK is one of the creators advocating for the #savetf2 movement.
