Be careful, there is a hack or bug involving the character Kaveh currently circulating around Genshin Impact where he can permanently delete interactable objects in other players’ overworld.
UPDATE (29/08/23): HoYoverse has released an official statement regarding the issue.
It has recently surfaced that a new kind of hack, bug, or glitch involving the character Kaveh where he is able to permanently delete interactable objects in Genshin Impact’s overworld, including in other people’s worlds through multiplayer co-op.
This exploitative hack was first brought to the community’s attention when multiple bilibili videos went viral, showing a player using Kaveh performing his Elemental Skill on various interactable objects around another user’s overworld and deleting them.
How the Kaveh Hack Work
This particular hack or bug exploit involves a player using Kaveh and performing his Elemental Skill, Artistic Ingenuity on an interactable object, deleting them.
For the uninitiated, Kaveh’s Elemental Skill has a special interaction that immediately destroys all Dendro Cores created through Dendro-Hydro Elemental Reaction, and fans suspect that there’s an error in the ability’s code that somehow tags all other interactable objects to be destroyable.
The interactable objects that are seen able to be deleted through the Kaveh exploit range from chests to Elemental Monument puzzles, to story-related props like Inazuma’s Kamuijima Cannon, to even bosses and the Domain reward trees.
The damage is apparently permanent as a bilibili user’s video showed that despite logging out and logging back into the game, all interactable objects affected by the Kaveh hack remain deleted and unretrievable, ruining his account progression indefinitely.
As reported, the Kaveh exploit has only been going around in the CN server of Genshin Impact but the same exploit can still be happening on other servers as all regions share the same base code.
HoYoverse has yet to make an official statement addressing the issue, but for now, it is best to be cautious and avoid playing in multiplayer co-op as griefers might be potentially roaming about trying to use the Kaveh hack on unsuspecting players to ruin their accounts.
