Electronic Arts (EA) is working together with mobile games publisher Level Infinite on a new Command & Conquer for mobile devices titled Command & Conquer: Legions.
Level Infinite announced that they have managed to strike an agreement with EA for the licensing agreement in order to bring the Command & Conquer universe on mobile devices.
Command & Conquer: Legions will include iconic heroes and villains, factions and a wide variety of units from across the Command & Conquer games.
It also reimagines its storyline and creates a new approach to its strategy gameplay in order to create endless strategic possibilities for mobile.
In an official statement the Senior Director at Level Infinite, Anthony Crouts said: “Legions is being created with both mobile platforms and mobile gamers in mind, matching the way people play on their devices with shorter, faster sessions and streamlined controls”.
“The mobile strategy gameplay of Legions provides a new type of experience while presenting familiar units, heroes and aspects of previous C&C games” Crouts added.
Command & Conquer: Legions will have both real-time PVE and PVP mode for you to battle against other factions as you collect Tiberium, a precious resource that can either be used for technological advancements or to destroy your enemies.
The game will be played on a large-scale map shared with other players across the globe where you’ll be able to form strategic alliances , share resources and strategize to outwit your enemies.
A closed beta for the game is planned for later this month in Australia, Canada, France, Mexico, New Zealand and the Philippines for Android devices, while the global release for Android and iOS devices is planned for later this year.
