Wargaming has announced that popular thrash metal band Megadeth will be collaborating with World of Tanks and World of Warships.
The collaboration is part of a multi-game music event, called Metal Fest.
Metal Fest will bring the thunderous power of metal to four different games developed by Wargaming: World of Tanks Modern Armor, World of Tanks Blitz, World of Warships, and World of Warships: Legends.
The event scheduled to begin on August 28th for World of Warships, and World of Warships: Legends and August 29th for World of Tanks Modern Armor and World of Tanks Blitz.
Metal Fest is described as a celebration of the metal genre, it will bring many exciting features to games such as exclusive voice over lines by Megadeth frontman, Dave Mustaine, bassist James LoMenzo, guitarist Kiko Loureiro and drummer Dirk Verbeuren.
An array of Megadeth-branded in-game items are also coming, including tanks and warships, in-game missions and quests, integrated songs and much more.
One of the major aspects of this collaboration however is that Megadeth’s iconic mascot, named Vic Rattlehead, will be making his debut appearance in video games with a stunning 3D representation and unique voiceover.
For those unfamiliar, Megadeth is one of the metal scene’s biggest bands of all time.
Best known for hits like ‘Symphony of Destruction’ and ‘Holy Wars… The Punishment Due’, they’ve sold over 38,000,000 albums worldwide (per BestSellingAlbums).
