Turn-based RPG Limbus Company has been getting review bombed on Steam, following poor feedback from fans.
In a Reddit thread, one user has compiled a list of issues plaguing Limbus Company that developer ProjectMoon has failed to respond to.
The community has tried to communicate these issues to ProjectMoon for a week but they claimed that they received no answers or acknowledgment, so they decide to start a protest by review bombing the game to get their voice heard.
Bugs and Balance Issues
The common issues plaguing Limbus Company written in reviews include:
- Stealth nerfs to Offense and Defense level changes
- Mislabeled Tier 4 Uptie ‘Bodysack’ description
- Tier 4 Uptie being too costly
- Character Red Sheet Sinclair and G Corp Gregor bugged up upon enhancing them to Tier 4 Uptie
Tier 4 Uptie is a newly introduced level uncap tier that has an expensive investment, thus players felt unhappy when they read a wrong description or have a bugged-out downgrade of the character they invested.
“Too much resource needed for tier 4. It costs a lot of time to catch up with the new activity and pulls. Now Project Moon shows us tier 4 which cost tons of resource and just fix the bad numerical balance. It is so disgusting that players pay for the fault from Project Moon.” writes one Steam user.
Swimsuit Controversy
However, the more notable complaint from fans that contributed to the review bombing is the recent summer event reveal that shows the character Ishmael wearing a full latex diving suit instead of a swimsuit whereas the male characters are wearing unbuttoned Hawaiian shirts and trunks.
This leads to fans being unhappy as they feel that both genders are not equally sexualized, going so far as to have some fans calling the game and developers “feminist”.
The majority of the negative complaints largely come from the Korean Limbus Company fanbase.
Currently, for its recent reviews, Limbus Company is seating on Mixed reviews.
