Persona 5 Tactica Reveals Setting and Key Characters

SEGA has released new information for Persona 5 Tactica, including the game’s setting, the tyrant Marie, and three key characters from the game.

A special program called Nyahoo News is introduced where Morgana from the Persona 5 series delivers the latest scoop on all things Persona. In the first volume, the Plot and Setting of Persona 5 Tactica were introduced. After wandering into a bizarre realm, the Phantom Thieves were attacked by a military group named Legionnaires. It’s there where we’re introduced to the tyrant Marie who brainwashed everyone aside from Joker and Morgana.

The duo were then later saved by Erina, the leader of the Rebel Corps and discovered that the world they’re in is known as the Kingdoms. After fending off Marie’s pursuit, Erina takes Joker and Morgana to the Rebel Corps hideout, which surprisingly looks exactly like Leblanc.

The Tyrant Marie

Marie and her Legionnaires rule over her kingdom with an iron fist, but it’s then revealed that this tyrant’s lofty ambition is wanting an extravagant wedding.

After making a deal to help the Rebel Corps, Joker and Morgana head out to rescue the remaining Thieves. Reaching the prison, they find a man named Toshiro Kasukabe who’s a politician in the real world but has no recollection as how he ended up in this realm.

Despite their misgivings, Joker and his allies decide to team up with Toshiro for the time being, only to later receive an urgent report that Marie has found her groom.

Key Characters

Ryuji Sakamoto (C.V: Mamoru Miyano)

A young man who was once tormented by a malicious PE teacher and falsely labeled as a delinquent, Ryuji Sakamato awakened to his persona, Captain Kidd after stumbling into the Metaverse with the protagonist.

Despite his short fuse, Ryuji has a heart of gold and fights fervently for the sake of his friends and the oppressed.

Ann Takamaki (C.V: Nana Mizuki)

An attractive girl who is one-quarter American, Ann Takamaki has a hard time fitting in due to her conspicuous looks and spends most of her time in solitude. She awakened to her persona Carmen when the protagonist gives her the courage to take a stand against crooked adults.

Undaunted in the face of evil, Ann is never one to turn a blind eye to a person in need.

Toshinori Kasukabe (C.V: Tomoaki Maeno)

A young member of parliament who was rumoured to become the next prime minister. Toshinori is rescued by the Phantom Thieves after becoming trapped in the bizarre realm, and has agreed to work together.

Toshinori is persuasive and resourceful, and capable of seeing the bigger picture. However, because he’s absolutely terrified of fighting and getting hurt, he tends to prioritise safety above all else.

Persona 5 Tactica is scheduled to release on 17th November 2023 for Xbox Game Pass, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.
