Love Live is getting another spin off game titled Blaze in Deep Blue, and it’s putting the idol stuff on the back bench.
Love Live Blaze in Deep Blue is an action platformer starring Yohane from Love Live Sunshine, and will release for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch as well as PC on November 16th, 2023.
To be more specific, it’s based on the Genjitsu No Yohane spinoff, which sees the character get the Isekai treatment.
Considering the game also has an an English website, it’s safe to assume the game will be getting an English release as well.
Love Live Blaze In Deep Blue Gameplay
While it only has you playing as Yohane, she’s also able to summon other Love Live characters for various assist moves, such as a cannon to launch her over long distances or extra attacks.
According to the trailer, you can unlock these as you progress through the story and Yohane frees more of her friends.
Additionally, the game also includes a crafting system, which you’ll need to make more abilities for your character.
Interestingly enough, there’s also mention of parts of the game being procedurally generated, with parts of the dungeon being randomized.
Admittedly, a fantasy action-platformer is a pretty huge leap for the Love Live franchise- the series has multiple games on mobile, all running the gamut of idol raising sims and rhythm games.
