Avatar: The Last Airbender Live Action Costumes and Teaser Trailer Revealed At Netflix Tudum

The first teaser trailer for the live-action Avatar: The Last Airbender series has been revealed at Netflix Tudung with the four lead actors appearing on stage.

Each of the four main leads appeared on the Tudum stage to present the series: Gordon Cormier (Aang), Dallas Liu (Zuko), Kiawentiio (Katara), and Ian Ousley (Sokka). We also got a chance to see each of them in costumes to newly released still shots.

“I think the bending and the effects are gonna be really cool,” says Katara’s actress Kiawentiio. “I know everyone is working really hard to get the whole thing done”.

“Avatar live-action, I think it’s gonna bring everything you love about the series back to life and bring in a lot of new fans to the show for the first time,” says 13-year-old Gordon Cormier who pays Aang in the series.

Avatar: The Last Airbender is a live-action adaptation of the Nickelodeon animated series of the same name. This is actually the second attempt to adapt the series into live-action following the 2009 M Night Shyamalan film The Last Airbender which was not received well by fans. Hopefully, this new series, with its longer length and modern-day production values will be able to do justice to the original series.

The Netflix Avatar: The Last Airbender series will premiere in 2024.
