Write About Your Favorite Games With GamerBraves!

For many people, games are just a hobby you squeeze in between the crushing reality of filing reports or being on-call for the third time this week. But that doesn’t mean there’s no future for it- and to that end, the GamerBraves team is recruiting journalists to be part of our world-class Game News Team.

This is a full-time paid position for people based in the Klang Valley, and aspiring applicants can send in their CVs along with a sample of their work to hiring[at]gamerbraves[dot]com with the subject line GamerBraves Journalist Application.

Let’s go over some of the responsibilities of joining Malaysia’s leading games news site:

As a member of the GamerBraves team you’ll be required to cover breaking industry news as it happens. Everything from the next big HoYoverse title to the announcement of beloved classics getting remade, you’ll need to be able to make sure to get the word out to as many people as possible.

It’s not just news, however- the meat of the job will also be review coverage. Love first person shooters? What about turn-based RPGs? Here’s your canvas to flex your passion, being one of the first in the world to play the hottest titles like Elden Ring, Diablo IV and Dead Space and taking them apart with your own critical standards. If you can share what makes you fall in love with these games with other people, then you’ll know you’ve succeeded.

Finally, you’ll also get the chance to work on amazing features and interviews. Our team has had in-person interviews with shooting stars of the games industry like Tekken’s Katsuhiro Harada and Final Fantasy’s Naoki Yoshida, and you could get your fanboy dream come true too as part of the team. Of course, that’s not to discount our features content either- where you’ll really get to express yourself with everything from opinion pieces to fun trivia about the complicated ownership of Pokemon.

Applicant Requirements

What you’ll need to be:

• Over 18 years of age
• Have transport to Kota Damansara (This is an on-site position)
• Fluent command of the English language
• An open attitude to learning new things!

• Link to your CV (Don’t worry about a lack of experience!)
• Your full name
• A short introduction to yourself
• A link to any samples of your work (If you haven’t done any before, write a new one for this submission. It can be a feature, a review or a news piece!)
