[SGF23] Sonic Superstars Launches This Fall 2023

During the Summer Game Fest 2023, Sonic Superstars was announced, a brand-new installment in the high-speed action series Sonic the Hedgehog.

Sonic Superstars is a brand-new action game which combines the classic feel of the 2D side-scrolling Sonic series with crisp 3D graphics. This new adventure begins for Sonic and his crew in the mysterious Northstar Islands, which is inhabited by gigantic creatures. With your newfound Emerald Powers, you’ll need to stop Dr. Eggman and Fang, who plan to use these creatures for their schemes.

Key Features

The series’ 2D side-scrolling action will be getting a fresh new coat of paint, with new visuals, zones, songs, and mechanics. Additionally, Tails, Knuckles, and Amy will join Sonic as playable characters, each with their unique abilities that can help you in your quest to face off against Dr. Eggman and Fang.

Naoto Ohshima, the designer of the original Sonic the Hedgehog will be involved in the production of Sonic Superstars to help bring a colourful cast of characters to this new Sonic game.

Sonic’s brand new Emerald Powers can be unlocked by collecting Chaos Emeralds. There are a variety of different abilities where some allow you to create clones during battle, climb up waterfalls, dash through the air, and more.

Sonic Superstars will have four player co-op, where you’ll be able to play with three other players locally, making this the perfect game to play with friends and family.

Coming out this Fall 2023, Sonic Superstars will be launching across various consoles such as PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Epic Games and Steam.
