ROG Ally Gets Malaysia Launch And Regional Pricing

ASUS has announced that the ROG Ally would be getting a Malaysia launch, along with its own pricing for gamers.

In a Facebook post, they confirmed that the ROG Ally will launch in Malaysia in July, though didn’t specify a specific date.

“Keep calm and continue gaming”, the post reads. “The ROG Ally is confirmed to come to Malaysia in July 2023”.

They also urged users not to assume the price of the upcoming device- implying that there would be regional pricing for the handheld device.

“The prices that you’ve seen online? Nuh uh. Get ready to be surprised- in a good way!” it reads.

The previously announced US pricing would have put the AMD Ryzen Z1 model at about RM2600, while the Z1 Extreme model was around RM3100.

The ROG Ally is ASUS ROG’s entry into the handheld PC market- allowing you to play PC games on the go.

It was originally announced on April 1st, leading many to assume that it was a fictional product announced as an April Fool’s Joke.

Since then ROG has had hands-on sessions with the device, as well as a US launch window in Q3 2023.

The handheld PC market has gotten quite competitive since the release of the Steam Deck- with the console not currently available in the SEA region, the ROG Ally stands to make quite a bit of headway here.
