The launch of Jing Yuan in Honkai Star Rail has proven to be pretty successful- enough so his banner would break the game’s payment platform.
According to the Honkai Star Rail Weibo page, after Jing Yuan was added to the Featured Banner, there was such a surge of players topping up that it was causing some players to not receive their Stellar Jades.
However, three hours later, the account reported that the issue had been resolved, with the proper Stellar Jades being credited to their owner’s accounts.
“For those who encountered this problem, please log back into the game using the device used when the recharge was not received, and the unaccounted goods will be issued automatically. If the product still has not arrived, please contact the official customer service and provide screenshots of the recharge order and other information”, the statement reads.
In addition, HoYoverse also said they would be issuing free Stellar Jades as compensation for players affected by the issue, though considering the notice was only on Weibo that means it’ll likely only be for China-based accounts.
Jing Yuan marks the first new banner character for Honkai Star Rail, replacing the launch featured banner, Seele.
Given it’s only the second day of the banner it’s still too soon to know how much money The General has made- though according to AppMagic, the game is currently sitting at over 96 million USD following the end of Seele’s banner.
