Private Division, the publishers responsible for titles such as Kerbal Space Program and The Outer Worlds has teamed up with Game Freak to publish their new action-adventure IP codenamed Project Bloom.
Game Freak is most notably known for their work on the Pokemon franchise which has more than 30 entries including the most recent Pokemon Scarlet & Violet.
As part of celebrating the announcement, the first piece of concept art of Project Bloom was released which seems to showcase a world filled with gigantic Flora and a strong emphasis on nature and the elements.
Head of Private Division and Chief Strategy Officer, Take-Two Interactive, Michael Worosz said that they are ready to help Game Freak unleash their potential and are honored that they were the first Western publisher to work alongside Game Freak to bring a bold new IP to the market.
Kota Furushima, Director at Game Freak was also quoted saying:
“We’re thrilled to have the opportunity to create new IP that is bold and tonally different from our prior work. From the beginning, Private Division was the publisher we wanted to work with on our new game. Their track record and global expertise give us all the confidence to create a sweeping new action-adventure game that we can’t wait to share more about in the future.”
Project Bloom is in early development and does not have an announcement date at time of writing, however the game is expected to launch during Take-Two’s Fiscal Year 2026 with more details regarding the game being shared later in the future.
