Pokemon TCG Live will be leaving open beta as it will officially be released for PC and mobile devices on 8th June 2023. This version of the Trading Card Game is replacing its previous iteration of Pokemon TCG Online, which initially released back in 2011.
Pokemon TCG Live brings in various new features such as updated visuals with its special effects which now shows on the game board, 3D avatars, ranked ladder, and a battle pass.
The official release of TCG Live will mark the end of its previous iteration as the game will be removed from all apps stores, and have its servers be shut down on 5th June 2023. However, players will still be able to migrate their account information to TCG Live even after the shut down date. As of time of writing, there’s currently no assigned cutoff date for migrating player’s account and collection.
Players who log into TCG live between 2nd May to 6th June 2023 are able to earn several in-game items such as a unique global beta coin, deck box, and card sleeves. For further details, players check out the full update from the development team here.
