Capcom has shown off the first year of DLC characters in Street Fighter 6, as well as more information about World Tour in the Street Fighter Showcase.
Rather than tease them out one at a time, Capcom revealed these 4 characters would be coming to Street Fighter 6 as DLC:
- Rashid (Summer 2023)
- A.K.I (Fall 2023)
- Ed (Winter 2024)
- Akuma (Spring 2024)
These characters will all be available via the Year 1 Pass, available with the Deluxe and Ultimate Editions of the game.
In addition, Capcom also revealed more details on its World Tour mode, the game’s single player portion.
A huge part of this is the open world, where you’ll be able to fight NPCs on the street.
You’ll also need to find Legendary Fighters in the world, where you’ll study under characters like Chun Li and Marisa to gain access to their moveset.
Certain attacks can also be used in the overworld, called Master Actions to traverse the overworld.
You’ll also need to complete quests and give gifts to Legendary Fighters to learn more moves from them.
The presentation also confirmed something fans had been curious about since the reveal of the custom characters for Street Fighter 6- that you’d be able to let them duke it out with other players in the game’s Battle Hub.
Finally, they also confirmed a playable demo for Street Fighter 6 ahead of the game’s release date of June 2nd- you’ll be able to access World Tour, as well as the game’s Fighting Ground.
It’s available now for PS5 and PS4, with other platforms getting it on April 26th.
