AniManGaki has announced AMG 2023, this year’s edition of the local anime and game convention in Malaysia, via their Facebook page.
Returning to the Mines International Expo And Convention Centre (MIECC), AMG 2023 will be a three-day event- running from 25th to 27th August.
It’s the first time the in-person event has been three days long, as it’s usually just over the weekend.
This year’s festivities will be space-themed, alongside the new key visual for the event which sees their mascot Kei-Chan floating where no one can hear you scream.
It should be noted that many of the other hallmarks of a typical AMG event have yet to be announced, such as any guests, or the pricing structure for the art booths, considering the extra day.
While there’s no official schedule for events, they’ve given a short summary of what fans can expect from this year’s event:
“Space cadets, see you in outer space! Summoning all πΆπ»π¨π²πΌs, πΎπππππΌπππs & ππΌπππs! Your favourite πΌππππ, πΎππππΎπ, & ππΌπππ πππππ is back! Join in the ππ¨π‘ and hang out with thousands of πππ‘π¦ like π¬π’π¨! o(β§β½β¦)o”, the statement reads.
AMG is one of the biggest events in Malaysia, regularly dominating the summer convention schedule.
They had returned to in-person events last year, following a two-year gap thanks to COVID-19.
