Otakus are facing the flames of oppression, says Magical Destroyers KAI. The game is currently available for pre-download in Japan ahead of its launch.
Additionally, the multimedia project is also getting an anime under the title Mahou Shoujo Magical Destroyers; which will be airing on 8th April 2023.
While there isn’t much information on the gameplay for Magical Girl Destroyers KAI, it is said to be an action RPG title developed by ASOBIMO.
The voice actors from the anime will also be reprising their roles of their respective characters in the game.
About Mahou Shoujo Magical Destroyers
Mahou Shoujo Magical Destroyers is set in a dystopic neat future where Otaku culture in Japan has been obliterated by a mysterious organisation called the “SSC”. We follow the story of Otaku Hero – a young revolutionary who adores Otaku culture, and his posse of magical girls: Anarchy, Blue, and Pink; as they struggle to create a world where “you can say what you like about what you like as much as you like”.
(Think Shimoneta but Otaku culture instead of sexual oppression.)
The anime will be animated by Bibury Animation Studios, who are known for their work on the second season of Quintessential Quintuplets, and the Azur Lane anime.
