Square Enix has announced that the Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster series, previously only available on Steam and mobile platforms, will be launching for the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch system on April 20th, 2023.
The Nintendo Switch versions of each game in the Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster series are available for digital pre-order now. Final Fantasy I and II are priced at $11.99 while III-VI are priced at $17.99. You can also buy the entire collection for $74.99.
The Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster is a series of remasters of the first six Final Fantasy games. They consist of new spirit work that is closer to the original releases, alongside new soundtracks and reworked gameplay mechanics to make them more accessible to modern gaming.
The console versions of the Pixel Remasters will introduce some new features. These include the option to switch between the rearranged and original-based soundtrack for the game. There will also be additional gameplay options for the console release, including switching off random encounters and adjusting experience gained multipliers between zero and four.
The Pixel Remaster Series will be launching for Nintendo Switch and PS4 on the 20th of April 2023.
The games are already available for PC vis Steam and mobile devices.
