Konami has announced that YuGiOh Cross Duel will shut down its service, 9 months after its release on July 2022.
The full notice is available on the game’s official website and it states that the end of service will fall on 4th September 2023.
Players will have around 6 months to play the game and its contents; albeit without the option to purchase Crystals.
As a last hurrah, the game is planning on launching various in-game events and campaigns for players to enjoy. Additionally, YuGiOh Cross Duel will also be increasing the amount of rewards such as gifts and login bonuses, so that players can enjoy the game until its end of service.
Via AppMagic, YuGiOh Cross Duel had amassed a total revenue of over 2 Million USD worldwide; with Japan being its largest contributor at 43%, followed by the United States with 28%. The game had a quiet start during its launch but peaked in September 2022 but has been on a decline since then.From the game’s official website it says:
Since our launch in July 2022, we have been blessed with great support from many players. It is with heavy hearts that we will be ending service at 05:00 (UTC) on Monday, September 4, 2023. In addition, we will be ending all sales of Crystals after this announcement.
