Voice Actor Elliot Gindi, most well known for playing Tighnari in the English language version of Genshin Impact, has confessed to recent sexual harassment allegations.
The voice actor has since admitted to the accusation and apologized over special media.
These came to light on February 8th when Twitter user FretCore, who worked as a moderator on Gindi’s Discord and Twitch pages posted a Google Document containing multiple receipts and accounts of Bindi harassing and grooming fans, some of whom were minors over his private social media.
#Tighnari‘s ENG VA Elliot Gindi is
– a p*do
– tr*nsphobe
– sexist
– groom*r
– able*st
– emotional abuser&blackmailer who threatens s**cide to get his way
– has sexual relations w/ teen fans
– continues to lie about it#genshintwt

Without going into details, the document provides evidence that Gindi committed the following actions:
- sexually harassed a 17-year-old and brought up their past trauma to manipulate them.
- Continually feminizing another user who did not like being referred to with female pronouns. He threatened to kill himself if the message ever got out.
- He also told this same person to strip for them in a video call.
- Claimed that he could change an asexual person
- Exposed himself to another minor
- Spoke about a contract where victims couldn’t be with other guys but could be with girls
- Asked a person to send nudes
- Told a person that he was waiting for them to turn 18
This was later followed by a response from Gindi apologizing for his actions. He has since also changed his Twitter profile picture to pitch black.

In his message, the Genshin Impact voice actor confirms that the majority of the accusations leveled at him were accurate, apologizes for his actions, and says that he will do better in the future.
“I understand what I did was wrong and inappropriate, and to the best of my ability tried to confess as much to those I contacted. I reacted inappropriately to situations where I felt desired, and caused harm to so many people in the process. I understand that my actions have consequences, and am committing myself to accept my responsibility while making the effort to get – and do – better”.
He does however deny that he knew his victims were underage and that he did not respect people’s pronouns.
“What is not true: That I knowingly did anything with anyone underage That I did not respect someone’s pronoun changes. I was not “waiting” for someone 15 to turn 18. I flatly rejected them”.
Several prominent voice actors and streamers, including fellow Genshin Impact voice actors, have said that they will cut ties with Gindi in response to the allegations.
Zach Aguilar, the voice actor of Aether in Genshin said he was “disappointed and angry” and that “I have removed the stream with Elliot and will no longer be associating with him. I refuse to give someone like this a platform in any way. To use your power this way over fans is disgusting and shameful”.
The voice director for Genshin Impact Chris Faiella said that he was likewise “angry and heartbroken”, saying that “My heart goes out to anyone who has been victimized by this unacceptable and inappropriate behavior”.
As of this article, it has not been confirmed by MiHoYo if Tighnari’s English voice will be recast.
