Bushiroad’s Revue Starlight series is getting a visual novel, set to release on consoles this year.
Announced as part of Bushiroad Games’ lineup of titles, there’s not much information on the upcoming Revue Starlight visual novel, other than that its slated for a Winter 2023 release.
What we do know, however, is that the game will be getting a Nintendo Switch and Steam release, though there’s been no word on English localization for the title.
The game is set to be developed by Front Wing Lab, who’d also developed games like Island and Atri -My Dear Moments-.
This marks the Revue Starlight series’ debut on consoles and PC- the only game in the series, Revue Starlight ReLIVE, is only available on mobile devices.
Revue Starlight is Bushiroad’s mixed media series, following the girls of Seisho Music Academy as they compete in underground duels to be the best Stage Girl.
The series has been adapted to multiple media, such as comics, anime, movies and even stage plays, featuring the cast of the anime reprising their roles, with the stage, games and anime all only being loosely tied to each other.
It’s not known if the visual novel will simply be adopting the anime’s plot, or if it will be going in a new direction for players.
