A kid has snuck onstage during the Game of the Year at the Game Awards 2022 to thank “Rabbi Bill Clinton”, in a seemingly unscripted prank at the awards show.
Geoff Keighley has since tweeted that the child was not actually part of Miyazaki’s team, and has since been arrested.
“The individual who interrupted our Game of the Year moment has been arrested”, Keighley said in a tweet.
Seemingly following behind Elden Ring director Hidetaka Miyazaki, everyone seemed equally shocked when, just as the director had finished his acceptance speech for the award the kid walked up to the mic and thanked his rabbi.
“Real quick I want to say that I think I want to nominate this award to my Reformed Orthodox Rabbi Bill Clinton”, the kid said into the mic.

Netizens were quick to jump on the meme bandwagon, spotting both the moment the kid had snuck into the entourage and making jokes about the sudden upstaging.
“Why was there a random french kid on stage that shouted out “reformed orthodox rabbi bill clinton” am i imagining that?“, says streamer Hasanabi.
In the confusion, Bill Clinton has started trending on Twitter, as people celebrate yet another crowning moment of live broadcasting.
It’s been a big year for Bill Clinton- the former President of the United States first had an old clip of him antagonizing the Guilty Gear series for violent messaging resurface, before being honored via a cameo in Guilty Gear Strive, and now seemingly being dedicated Elden Ring’s Game of the Year Award by a guy who didn’t work on it.
