Capcom has announced Closed Beta 2 for Street Fighter 6, letting players get another crack at the upcoming installment of their premier fighting game.
For fans who go into the first beta, you needn’t worry about the mad lottery to get in again- people who received a code for Street Fighter 6 Closed Beta 1 will automatically be admitted into Beta 2.
“All Closed Beta Test #1 participants who redeemed their code are automatically invited to join Closed Beta Test #2. We have increased the number of total spots in order to accommodate for both waves of participants”, they said in a tweet.
The second closed beta will run from December 16th to December 19th, spanning PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S as well as PC via Steam, with crossplay enabled between them.
Sadly, based on the trailer, it doesn’t look like the beta will be featuring any new characters- despite having already been announced, characters like Blanka, Dhalsim and E.Honda appear to still be missing from the beta.
While Street Fighter 6 doesn’t have a definite release date yet, the closed betas are a good sign that the game could be coming within the next year, as Capcom prepares the servers for the undoubtedly large influx of players it will have at launch.
